We revamped our website! If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do at massstreetmusic.com. We upgraded our site not only for technological reasons, but to better reflect the actual store here in Lawrence and better showcase our unique gear. We are still in the process of making a few tweaks to the site but we hope you’ll find, as we have, that it is an improvement. We thank local Lawrence geniuses Philsquare who did such a great job on our website, and designer Chris Millspaugh who redesigned our logo and so much more.
Be looking for new features as well as the return of favorites like the Pickup Test Drive, Repairs profiles and contests in the coming weeks. These will all soon be available on our website under ‘News’!
Gear! We have several sweet Tungsten and Sarge amps in right now – both offer their own unique take on classic tones and are some of our favorites. Eastman Acoustic Guitars: Now through December you could win an Eastman E Series acoustic guitar. These have long been some of our favorites and many of the staff own their own. Just stop by, try one out and then we’ll give you a card so you can enter to win online. It’s super easy and you could wind up winning a killer cannon.
Workshops: Keep your eyes on our Events for the latest workshops at Mass Street Music.
This Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m. our own Eric P. takes you on a tour of fuzz pedals in our Fuzz Focus Pedal Clinic: what fuzzes do, how to use them with your sound, and what’s up with germanium vs. silicon transistors. You’ll get to check out an array of them including JHS, Skreddy, Dunlop Fuzz Faces, Wren and Cuff and more. We’ll also have a showdown pitting the modern fuzzes against classics like the Bubble Font Russian Big Muff (think Black Keys) and the fuzz that drove the Stones’ ‘Satisfaction’ – the Maestro Fuzz.
Last but not least a big thank you to YOU. It’s been a wonderful 30 years and we look forward to the future. One of the joys of being at Mass Street Music is getting to know our customers. We appreciate your patronage, whether you’ve bought a guitar, read a blog article, liked us on Facebook, or just stopped by to tell us about your new band. Thank YOU. We hope to see you at our Anniversary Party Nov. 7, 8 & 9 if you are in the area!
