Kyle RalstonLanikai CDST-T Cedar Solid Top Tenor
One of my favorites! Great sounding ukulele that is extremely punchy and has plenty of volume. The Lanikai CDS series features a solid Cedar top, quality Grover tuning keys, and maple binding! The ultra smooth neck plays and feels outstanding! Includes a gig bag and has an extra strap button already installed. These models are available in Soprano and Concerts as well.

Matt Pelsma – Squire Electric Guitars – Classic Vibe Baritone Custom Telecaster – Black
A baritone guitar is a great way to open up your creativity. Old chord voicings suddenly sound new, and the range can perfectly accommodate a lower range singing voice.

Brian Soden – Tungsten Amps – Mosaic 8″ Combo
Lordy, I’m such a sucker for tweed amps. This little guy is the perfect amp for Americana/Roots-Rock tones. I like to set the volume control at 3 or 4 for a good pushed clean sound, then hit the front end with a boost or low gain overdrive for some nice breakup. Put an Shure SM57 mic on it and boom. You’re set!

Mike Horan – Fender Electric Guitars – JV Modified ’50s Telecaster – White Blonde
My first look at this new series—-really great feeling guitar, nice neck and good weight. Pickups sound excellent as well.

Trey Durkin – Fender Electric Guitars – Player Stratocaster – Black – Maple Fingerboard
After nearly 8 years doing repairs here in the shop, I will be switching careers. It has been a great run, which has made these final weeks bittersweet for me. I’ll miss seeing all the friendly faces and working on instruments all the time but the changes I am making are all positive. For my final staff pick at MSM I wanted to pick my all time favorite guitar, the Fender Stratocaster. Since 1954, the Stratocaster has become the most iconic and most copied electric guitar of all time, and for good reason. The comfort and versatility of these guitars is unmatched (and they are easy and fun to work on). I am a firm believer that anything and everything can be played on a strat and sound great. Strats have always been “home” for me ever since I started playing. This particular guitar looks just like my personal guitar that I’ve played and loved for the last 13 years: black finish, white-guard, with a maple board – classic. Come check this guitar out, and if you want to say goodbye, come on up to the shop, I’d love to see you one last time before I go! Thanks for everything -TD

Isaiah Sibi – JAM Pedals – Rattler
(Meet Isaiah, the newest addition to our Repair Shop team) If you’re looking for that old school amp screaming distortion, the Rattler Pedal is the device for you. Inspired by the early ’80s RAT pedal, this hand painted hydra from JAM pedals is great for playing punk rock in the basement or those crunchy blues rock riffs that move the soul.

Susan Willits – Eastman Mandolins – MDA315 Mandola
The Eastman MDA315 Mandola is a great way to add some low end tones to your mandolin playing! Eastman does a great job of making high quality, low priced, solid wood instruments. We also have the MDA315 with a K&K pickup.

Matt KappenmanCollings Acoustic Guitars – CJ-45 T
The Traditional series from Collings continues to impress. I’ve been looking forward to a CJ Traditional model since the line was originally announced, and this CJ-45 did not disappointment. Dry, focused and in no way boomy or overpowering, a really balanced sounding slope-shoulder dreadnaught. Tons of research, design and engineering went into this build, and it really stands out as a vintage-inspired, while truly Collings, sound.
