Brian Soden – Two-Rock Amplifiers – Bloomfield Drive 40 Watt Head with Matching Cabinet
We’ve had so much fun getting to know the Two-Rock amps that recently landed at the shop! After spending quality time with each one I’ve determined that they’re all pure magic. That being said, the amp that I’m totally vibing with is the Bloomfield Drive 40/20 rig.
The Bloomfield Drive is full, rich, and very pure. At the same time, it’s also very muscular and assertive when you lay into it. It responds to every nuance of your playing dynamics. I dig the “pushed to semi-dirty” territory of this amp. It yields amazing harmonic content; something you traditionally only experience with a LOUD cranked up tube amp. Strum an open G, then gently shake the trem bar on your Strat. Overtones start peeking out as well as gorgeous, controllable feedback. And…you can achieve all of that at low/medium volumes. For real…it’s crazy.
These amps truly have to be experienced in-person. I told Eli, owner of Two-Rock Amplifiers…“These amps make me want to play guitar. I feel like I’m 15 again and waiting for school to get out so I can go home and play!”

Jack Bryan – Santono Effects Pedals – UNO Preamp
This pedal is proof that big things can come in small packages. What is essentially just a staurator for your guitar, the UNO excels at making your guitar shine through a mix due to the harmonic richness it provides. Use it on its own to give your guitar some extra body and character, or use it in tandem with other gain pedals to truly bring them to life. If there’s one pedal you need, it’s the UNO.

Mike Horan – Martin Acoustic Guitars – 1935 0-17 “Black Cat”
This guitar is incredible. Huge voice for a feather-light body and when you strike a string, the entire instrument vibrates as one—which is deeply satisfying. Historically, it is an excellent example of a guitar from Martin’s golden age. The same luthiers that built the 1930s D-18s and D-28s built this little gem, and you can tell. The craftsmanship is beautiful and the neck is perfectly shaped. BUT–the price tag has one (or two) less zeros after it! You can’t go wrong with this one.

Susan Willits – Collings Acoustic Guitars – 2017 02 “Baked” – Used
I love small bodied guitars & I love wood binding, so naturally this used 2017 Collings 02 caught my eye. It may be small, but it definitely packs a punch, is super clean and as always, the craftsmanship from Collings is superb.
