We’ve been fans of Greer Amps for what seems like forever, and this new Royal Velvet Class-A British Drive & Pre is like a Vox in a box, combined with a Greer Thunderbolt30. As the Soma63 is to a Fender Brown Concert, the Royal Velvet is to an AC30. It has the EL84 chime you’d expect and is extremely responsive to changes in volume control and pick attack. We’ll have this in shop later this spring.
