Another great example of an offset guitar from Kauer. I’ve worked on plenty of new and vintage Firebirds and Kauer’s builds are truly on a higher level of quality control than Gibson currently produces.

The guitar plays like butter with the smooth satin neck, the effortless Gotoh 510 tremolo bridge, and the medium tall stainless steel frets which will allow for a long life of play. Suhr’s SSCII electronics remove the 60-cycle hum usually heard from single coil pickups, making this guitar perfect for the gigging and recording musician.

Susan Willits – Collings Mandolins – 2008 MF5 – Used
We have a Collings mandolin in the store, and it’s a winner! Wonderful punch, (I love punch in a mandolin) with a clear sweet tone and a lot of volume, this 2008 Collings MF5 is almost too much fun to play. All of the wood is beautiful, but the flame on the back of the neck is absolutely mesmerizing, plus it has one of my favorite headstock inlays. If you’ve ever thought about getting a Collings mandolin you should definitely check this one out.

Matt Kappenman – Pittman Amps – Kansas City Series – Paseo 5F2-A 1×10″ Combo
A good playing tele and a tweed amp…that’s pretty much all I need to have fun with an electric rig and this Paseo from Pittman knocks that tweed sound out of the park. It’s such a treat having these amps in the store, not only because they sound fantastic but I love featuring a local builder that shares our taste in great sounding amps.
