Kyle Ralston – Taylor Acoustic Guitars – 417e-R – Rosewood
This is a great slope shoulder style Grand Pacific with a very warm, seasoned tone that is a little different than the bright and precise tone of the very popular Grand Auditorium Series.
If you love the way a Taylor plays and feels, but want to explore another tonal avenue, this may be the guitar for you!

Matt Pelsma – Milkman Sound – 15W HT with Jupiter Speaker – Powder Blue
One of the best Fender-style amps around, plus a killer tremolo! This is the amp with which I always demo gear.

Brian Soden – JAM Pedals – Harmonious Monk mk.2 – Harmonic Tremolo
For me, a good “meat and potatoes” pedalboard consists of a fuzz, a low-gain overdrive, a delay of some type, and ALWAYS a tremolo! This new updated version of the Harmonious Monk has some killer new features, including a ramping up/down when tempo is changed. This is super helpful for creating feel and vibe/mood for a song. I need this pedal!

Mike Horan – Gibson Guitars – 1934 L-7 Archtop
20 years ago, I owned a guitar almost identical to this—same model and year. I loved the smaller 16″ body and its tone, but my quest for a better bluegrass flattop led me to sell it. I REALLY wish I still had it. For what it’s worth, this guitar’s sound is superior to the 16″ L-5 that we recently had. Just slightly less fancy!

Matt Harmon – Keeley Effect Pedals – Halo – Andy Timmons Dual Echo
Easily my favorite delay in the shop. The presets are so good I don’t even want to adjust the knobs.

Isaiah Sibi – Martin Acoustic Guitars – 000-17 Whiskey Sunset
The Martin 000-17 whiskey sunset feels very comfortable to play with its 24.9 inch scale length and sounds great with it’s warm, rich tones. Mahogany back and sides and Sitka Spruce top with a unique sunburst.

There’s a Collings mandolin here in the store! Collings mandos are hard to come by and it’s always a treat when we have one in. A 2019 Collings MF, with beautiful Flamed Maple back and sides, and a full body sunburst, this mandolin looks brand new, and plays and sounds amazing. You can’t go wrong with a Collings!

Matt Kappenman – Iris Guitars – MS-00 – 14-Fret – Tobacco Burst with Binding
Whether I’m playing old-time rhythm guitar or playing a bit of noodly-lead acoustic vocal accompaniment, 14-Fret 00s are my guitar of choice for those styles. There’s a responsiveness and ability to cut through that really makes these guitars sing. Iris Guitars, in conjunction with Mark Stutman, have released this new MS-00 which nails everything I love about the original, vintage inspiration. Lightweight and dynamic, this is a lifetime guitar for any old-time, blues or fingerpicking player.
