Clark Russell – Ernie Ball Music Man Basses – StingRay Special 4 String HH – Faded Vintage Sunburst
Hey y’all, resident bass player at Mass Street Music here! We just got in this lovely Faded Vintage Sunburst Stingray, equipped with the double humbucker configuration that was introduced in the mid-2000s. While the original single humbucker is iconic, this HH model delivers a whole host of tones that a single simply can’t achieve. Combined with the active 18v preamp and a 5-way switch for different coil-selection, the tones are truly vast and incredible. Go from that modern, punchy Stingray tone, to a mellowed, P-like neck position, to an ’80s Marcus Miller scooped-mid slap tone with both coils engaged. Absolutely a fun axe that will carry the band anywhere it goes. Looking forward to stocking more basses for our friends who live on the low-end here at Mass Street Music!

Brandell Chalmers – Nobels Pedals – MOD-mini Modulation
This is an extremely versatile and user-friendly pedal, with a perfectly small footprint for your smallest pedalboards, or for squeezing in between other pedals on your large pedalboards! With really great phaser, tremolo and uni-vibe settings that are all very responsive to the “rate,” “mix,” and “width” switches. You can get all sorts of fun, and usable tones out of this thing! It’s been an incredible addition to my personal pedalboard, and I cannot quit playing with it! Come on into the shop and try one out! You won’t regret it!

Mike Horan – Collings Guitars – C-00 – All Black
Okay, this guitar has yet to arrive at the back door, but I played it last week at the Fretboard Summit in Chicago. Holy moly, this guitar has a voice! Loosely based on my all-black 1930’s L-00, Collings has created a guitar that sounds as good as it looks. It should be shipping to us any day, so I wanted to give everyone a preview.

Isaiah Sibi – Bruce Guitars – 0-17 Special – Honduran Mahogany – Vintage White
This small body 0-17 guitar from Nebraska builder Micah Bruce features Honduran mahogany back, sides, and top. It has a beautifully clear, focused, and lush sound, feels incredibly comfortable with the Spanish cedar neck, and is tied together with a tasteful vintage aged finish. The flower rosette is inspired by Micah’s wife’s flower business, and is a unique, lovely touch to the instrument that compliments it well.

Susan Willits – OME Banjos – Juniper 11″ Open-Back
The OME Juniper is a beautiful banjo with a warm, bright punch and clarity of notes that make it quite fun to play. Built with a rolled brass tone ring, a cherry pot, tasteful inlays, aged brass hardware and a wooden arm rest it is a nice specimen of a dressed up, but not over done banjo. Comes with a hardshell case, and spikes at 7 and 9, so it’s ready to head to the festivals!

Matt Kappenman – Gibson Acoustic Guitars – 1941 J-35 – Natural – Vintage
I’m a sucker for vintage Gibson flattops, especially slope-shoulder dreads. This ’41 J-35 has airy, dynamic tone that is absolutely addictive. Here with a rather rare natural finish, french heel, drop-in saddle and two-tone bar design, this is one of those vintage Gibson that existed for only a moment before it changed once again.
