Eric Mardis – Gibson Electric Guitars – 1978 ES-175D – Used
I love Gibson archtops and this ’78 ES-175 hits all the sweet spots. Luscious, warm jazz tones are easily coaxed from this guitar, but don’t forget that ES-175s can rock! (Steve Howe, Andy Summers, and sometimes Alex Lifeson!)

Marnie Orville – Seuf Electric Guitars – OH-10 – Tempered Pine Body – Red/Black Two-Tone Sunburst
Custom spec’d OH-10 with a Swope tremolo and bridge. The finish is based on that of department store brands of the 60s, but specifically inspired by a Japanese offset with a mirror pickguard that my childhood best friend gave me from her late Dad’s collection. I wanted this guitar to have the same heirloom quality and be built to last, with attention to detail and setup to perfection.

Clark Russell – Guild Electric Guitars – 1976 Starfire IV – Cherry – Used
This Starfire IV was Guild’s answer to the ever popular 335, complete with a center block and two HB-1 humbucking pickups that, while they might not sound like the 335’s, offer an incredibly diverse tone range from sparkly, almost Tele-like jangle to ripping, roaring deep humbucker goodness. Back off the tone for some of the creamiest jazz tones you’ll ever hear, just perfect when combined with the semi-hollow build. Hailing from the sought-after hands of the Westerly Rhode Island factory, and built like a tank and relatively clean, this is a perfect score for anyone looking for vintage mojo and musical versatility.

Mike Horan – Martin Guitars – 1936 0-17 – with TKL case and Original Chip Case
The best advice I ever heard regarding purchasing vintage instruments: buy the nicest example you can afford from the best era of the instruments that interest you. Pre-war 1936 Martin flattops hit it out of the park on most occasions and this guitar is no exception. It has the same level of craftsmanship as a 1936 D-28. Built by the same craftsmen at a fraction of the cost. And it sounds and plays fantastic to boot!

Matt Harmon – Collings Electric Guitars – 71 – Jade Green – Custom Finish
It’s extremely rare for our friends at Collings to go off script. Every detail they choose is for a reason and when you get to choose a neck carve or a pickup option it’s because they stand by it 100%. This is the first true Custom Color Collings we have ever had and there won’t be another 71 in Jade Green. Not only does this guitar sound and feel amazing, chances our this custom color one off will only be more desirable in the future. If your looking for a 71, this is a amazing guitar with a cool history.

Isaiah Sibi – Iris Guitars – OG – All Black – Ivoroid Pickguard – Ivoroid Binding – Flower Pot
Whenever we get a new batch of Iris in the store, I just know it’s going to rock my world! The all black neck and body with the ivoroid pickguard looks totally slick. I especially like the bass-end, which can certainly be pushed without overdriving the instrument.

Susan Willits – Vega Banjos – 1923 Style K – Leo Posch Custom Neck – 5-String Conversion
We have a beautiful 1923 Vega Style K banjo that has been converted to a 5 string by local luthier and banjo wizard, Leo Posch. It has a sneaky, tunneled fifth string, which is a modern feature that’s a fun contrast with the fact that this banjo is over 100 years old. Leo cut out and engraved the custom inlays, as well as carving the heel. I love most any size of banjo, but the smaller ones are just irresistible! This one has a sweet, plunky tone, thanks in part to the skin head.

Matt Kappenman – Collings Guitars – DS1A Hill Country – Natural – 12-Fret Dreadnought
Collings has been knocking it out of the park with the Hill Country line, and this 12-Fret dreadnought is possibly one of my favorite guitars to come through the shop in years. There’s a punch, and focus that comes through with this guitar that makes it a joy to play.
