Just a reminder that we’ll be in Kansas City on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Feb. 20-22 at the International Folk Alliance Conference at the Sheraton Crown Center & the Westin at Crown Center. If you’re there, stop by our table in the Exhibition Hall at the Westin – we’ll be on hand 3pm-6pm Thursday – Saturday. The conference is in two sections – the Conference (lectures, films and more during the day, and 11 amazing stages full of music in the evenings!) and the Music Camp with exceptional instructors including Bill Kirchen, Pete Wernick, Redd Volkaert and many more.
The conference and music camp require registration, BUT GOOD NEWS – there are single day tickets ($25) still available for the public, while they last, and a few wristbands available for all four days ($85). Tickets for the FAC are available at the Folk Store in Kansas City and at EventBrite online. Just a few of the amazing acts are David Amram, Guy Forsyth, Sarah Jarosz, Bobby Bare, Jr, Bill Evans, Chuck Mead, locals Olassa, Betse Ellis, Truckstop Honeymoon and more. Check out the full Folk Alliance musical line up here.
Jim B. will be giving a free Appraisal Workshop on Thursday at 3pm, in the Exhibition Hall at the conference – learn more about appraising, bring an old treasure for him to take a look at, or just stop by and say hello. We hope you can make it for this unique and special conference and musical gathering in Kansas City!
