Eric Putnam – Collings Electric Guitars – 290 Tobacco Burst with Charlie Christian
I have not spent much time with the Charlie Christian pickup so it was new to me. It works great in the neck position of the 290. It is dark and woody without being muddy on clean tones. It also works great with some gain. It is less tight than a p90, but has a very charming vintage character. The p90 in the bridge is exactly what you would expect and gives you plenty of grind when you want it. Great balance of simplicity and versatility.

Matt Pelsma – Taylor Acoustic Guitars – K26ce V-Class
The Taylor K26ce is a full-featured guitar that really pays off in the studio. Get new tones by slightly moving the mic around when placed at the 12th fret due to the extra sound hole. Lots of different tones are available in a small space to create lush guitar tracks.

Brian Soden – Mythos Pedals – Argo Octave Fuzz
The Mythos Argo has become incredibly popular over the last year! We can barely keep them in stock, and for very good reason. Players like Joey Landreth, Ariel Posen and David Grissom have really shown what this unit is capable of. You can achieve those old school octave-fuzz Jimi tones or use it to conjure up your own unique sounds! I personally dig using the Argo for groove-based riffs, getting almost ring modulator noises when you roll the guitar volume back. So funky, weird and just good fun!

Mike Horan – Gretsch Electric Guitars – G5655T Electromatic Centerblock Junior Single-Cut – Jade Grey Metallic
This is my all-time favorite Gretsch semi-hollow body design—stylishly compact with an authentic retro vibe. And for well under a grand.

Trey Durkin – Collings Mandolins – MT GT Black Top
This is an excellent playing and sounding mando. I also really like the black top finish aesthetic, this is a super-cool looking instrument. It always catches my eye when I go up and down the stairs.

Susan Willits – Tom Anderson Electric Guitars – Raven Classic Shorty w/J-Trem – Burgundy Mist
We just received this stunning Raven Classic, in Burgundy Mist, with a matching headstock and Anderson’s new super smooth J-Trem floating bridge/tailpiece. Comes with hum cancelling P-90s, two cut switches and stainless steel frets. The Tom Anderson guitars have been flying out the door lately and I’m sure this beauty won’t be here long.

Matt Kappenman – Taylor Acoustic Guitars – American Dream AD17e Blacktop V-Class
I’ve been a fan of these Grand Pacifics from the moment I heard of the concept from our Taylor reps. These American Dream models take the V-Class dreadnought to the next level with American tonewoods and craftsmanship, harkening back to the early days in Taylor’s history. This blacktop is bright and articulate and after a little warming up the lows start to really develop. Great guitar at a great price.
