Brian Soden – Pisgah Banjos – 11″ Appalachian Walnut – Vintage Heel
A lot of you know me as a guitar guy and Mass Street Music as a guitar shop. Both true statements. But, we’re also a banjo and mandolin shop! Don’t sleep on the killer mandolin and banjo departments we have at the store. I love what Pisgah Banjos out of North Carolina is doing. Give me or any of the sales team a shout and we can tell you all about this 11″ Appalachian!

Jim Baggett – Martin Guitars – 1937 00-18H – Hawaiian Conversion
Great sounding example of a 00-18H conversion.

Jack Bryan – Earthquaker Devices – Blumes – Low Signal Shredder
Easily one of the best, if not the best, overdrives for bass. It retains all of the low end of your signal which is crucial for live band settings (or really any setting), and it has more than enough gain on tap to really push your amp to the brink. It’s also got a fat, screamer-like tone and sports plenty of headroom making this an incredibly dynamic pedal. It works great on guitar too. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Marnie Orville – Martin Acoustic Guitars – 00-15M
The 00 body shape is the goldilocks size for me in terms of an acoustic; smaller and more comfortable than the triple 0, while projecting more than the single 0. With it’s all mahogany construction, this mid-sized guitar is light as a feather while still packing a powerful punch when laying into the strings with a flat pick. It has a fantastic woody tone and clear top end to it that will make anything you play sound good, and I find myself constantly being drawn back to it in the store.

Mike Horan – Fairbanks Guitars – F-20 Ebony – 14-Fret 00 – Aged Black with Firestripe
What our description of the Fairbanks doesn’t specifically mention, is that we were inspired to order it because of an L-00 that is currently in my possession. Smitten by the look of the firestripe pickguard offset by the black finish, we knew we wanted Dale to replicate it in his shop. What we could not have known, is how close the feel, weight and sound would be to the original. What a phenomenal guitar this is.

Matt Harmon – Tom Anderson Guitars – Pro Am – Black over Corvette Yellow – In Distress Lv3
When I asked myself what would I want if I ordered an Anderson, spec for spec, this is the one.

Isaiah Sibi – Fairbanks Guitars – F-20 Ebony – 14-Fret 00 – Aged Black with Firestripe
Inspired by the vintage L-00 models of the 30’s, this beautifully crafted Fairbanks sounds as amazing as it looks. Incredibly light but powerful and well balanced, with a rich, deep string response to however you play it. A personal favorite of mine when it comes to guitar models, this is a great example of a modern guitar with a vintage sound ready for action!

Susan Willits – Iris Guitars – MS-00 – 14-Fret – Tobacco Burst with Binding
The Iris MS-00-14 Fret Tobacco Burst is a powerful guitar with a very full, open sound. I love the simplicity of this spruce top, mahogany guitar. And the firestripe pickguard goes so nicely with the sunburst top!
