In a non-pandemic world the Walnut Valley Festival would have been kicking off this week. We thought it would be fun to showcase some of our favorite builders who we love catching up with at the festival every year…⁠

Having the opportunity to represent Collings Guitars at both the mandolin and flatpick competitions is one of our favorite parts of the festival. We get to go up in front of a room full of people who love bluegrass music, and give away an instrument from a builder that we truly admire, and have had such a close relationship with for decades. It wouldn’t feel like Winfield for us without getting to hear some new hotshot player take one of our Collings Guitars for a spin in the Mass Street booth.

This D1 A Traditional is an absolute flatpickers delight. More than one Mass Street staffer has this exact model as their bluegrass machine of choice, and for good reason. Check out all the photos and details of the Adirondack/Mahogany dreadnought over on the website.
