April brings new gear, new events and new faces to Mass Street Music. We just received a bevy of Gretsch instruments – both folk and great electrics. The favorite so far seems to be the Center Block Electromatic – a great rocker that loves distortion. Check out all the Just In gear here. The Jeff Black Songwriting Clinic “Inviting the Muse” happens Saturday, May 9 at 1PM – don’t miss this opportunity to learn from this talented Nashville (by way of KC) songwriter who has been covered by everyone from Sam Bush to Waylon Jennings. More info on the songwriting clinic and his evening West Side Folk concert here.
You may have noticed some new faces around the store – we welcome Trey Durkin who adds his luthier expertise to our repair shop and Matt Pelsma who joins our sales staff. Next week we welcome Matt Kappenman as our new Marketing Manager.
We bid farewell to long time employee, Marketing Manager and double cutaway guitar fan Anne Tangeman, whose keen eye and pen helped keep us in touch with you these past several years through our store, website, newsletter and social media. From Anne: It’s been an honor to work with great people, both staff and customers at such a remarkable, magical place and to be able to share not only the incredible instruments, but the small, special stories that happen around the store every week. Check out Anne’s top Mass Street Music moments here.
